The continued interest in Omni Bedford Springs Resort’s rich history is once again being commemorated at their upcoming WWII Weekend (August 2-4). The setting for Ellen’s novel “The Bowl with Gold Seams,” she will speak on Saturday, August 3 at 3:00.
The Omni Bedford Springs Resort, together with the Furious Fourth WWII Living History Group, will bring the 1940s era to life. Learn how this historical resort contributed to the war effort, serving as a home base for Keystone Radio Schools, naval training grounds, and a center for Japanese diplomatic prisoners. Featuring complimentary reenactor exhibits, demonstrations and family activities that will enrich your appreciation of this pivotal time.
On Saturday night, Aug 3, experience the lively sounds and music of the era at ‘Swing Dance in Colonnade’. Dance to favorites from the 1940s and 1950s as performed by the San Tones Orchestra. Join us for a memorable journey into the past, as the nation marks the 75th anniversary of the Second World War.
